As you have probably read before on our blog (if not, go here, here or here), Mitsubishi Electric in Braselton GA is a fabulous business partner with our special education department. Today, they held the 3rd “Hallway Golf” tournament to raise money for us this year and the kids had a blast. Their vendors build putt-putt holes and then they create a course throughout their office hallways and warehouse – then the vendors come out and pay a “greens fee” to play through the course. Our kids are also invited out to play golf! Then they feed us pizza and ice cream (yum!) and give the kids a little goody bag! Last year they raised over $6000.00 that they donated to us and we used it to buy adapted playground equipment. Words cannot express how much we appreciate all that they do for us! In addition to the donations, they come out and help us with different events like Special Olympics and the Christmas program, this summer they held a “family fun day” for the kids and their families, and they have a little holiday party for the kids in December.
